Sustainability is increasingly becoming a buzzword in the agricultural industry, but if you ask us, we've been utilizing sustainable agricultural practices from day 1. You see, to us sustainability means ensuring that we leave the land better than it was when we found it. We want future generations to be able to produce bountiful harvests from the land, just like we've been able to do. That means that we apply herbicides and fertilizers only when necessary, practice no-till farming, utilize antibiotics when necessary in the recommended doses, etc. We know having access to sustainably-grown food is important to you, and we want you to know that T-T Ranch is involved in sustainable agricultural production.
At T-T Ranch we believe that sustainability is made up of three core legs - environment, economics and social. Read more about our efforts to be sustainable in all three areas below.

Sustainability at T-T Ranch
Environmental SustainabilityAs farmers and ranchers, taking care of the land and livestock is always our first priority.
To ensure T-T Ranch is environmentally sustainable, we use a variety of practices to make sure we are protecting the land and water for future generations. Some of these practices include: crop rotation, no-till conservation tillage, variable rate fertilizer application, and others. We've also started raising some organic crops, which is another step we are taking to contribute to our operation's environmental sustainability. |
Economic SustainabilityWe make a living by farming and ranching, so it is important to us that we make sure T-T Ranch is operated in such a way that is economically sustainable. Like you, we need to provide food, clothing and shelter for our families.
Economic sustainability goes one step further at T-T Ranch. We believe that God has given us a great responsibility to care for the land and livestock he has blessed us with. It is important to us that we are good stewards of everything he has entrusted to us - finances included. |
Social ResponsibilitySocial sustainability is the third leg to traditional sustainability models. At T-T Ranch we demonstrate our social sustainability by prioritizing farm succession, supporting our local communities, promoting work/life balance and encouraging professional development. Each of these areas are key to ensuring that our operation is socially sustainable.
